AMHF is the national peak body implementing a social approach to improving male health and wellbeing. AMHF is an alliance of individual men and women, organisations and service providers actively engaged in or interested in addressing the physical, psychological, emotional, intellectual, educational, social, spiritual, developmental and relational needs of men and boys in Australia and any other issues that impact on them. AMHF organises Men’s Health Week each year and conducts the National Male Health Gatherings every two years.

Health is a dynamic reality shaped by many factors. An individual’s health is the product of many aspects of their life, and the term used for the causes behind health status is the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH).

Men’s Sheds in Australia. National site for information on men’s sheds and a locater to find a men’s shed in your area.

One in Three. The One in Three campaign aims to raise public awareness of the existence and needs of male victims of family violence and abuse. The aim is to work with government and non-government services to provide assistance to male victims and to reduce the incidence and impacts of family violence on Australian men, women and children. The website contains a great deal of information on this growing social issue.

Survivors and Mates Support Network. SAMSN works to increase public awareness of the effects of sexual abuse on men and helps those who are trying to address what happened by employing trained pyschologists and social workers (who have experience working with male Survivors) to facilitate peer support groups.
